Home sweet home in Austin

It's been an exciting few months over here!

After moving to Austin in September, not only did we decide to stay long term, we sold our home in the Bay Area, packed up our world again and are calling Austin home.

This weekend we moved into our new house and after 3 other temporary places in the past six months, we are so happy to finally get settled.

We're under a bit of construction, but I can't wait to share more pictures soon!

On the current to do list:
• Go shopping for dining room chairs, nightstands and a coffee table. Any suggestions?
• Choosing some new house numbers and new porch mounted mailbox
• Unpacking and deciding where everything goes in this new kitchen (seen behind us in the IG)

Happy Friday! I wanted to drop in to share some recent news, updates and highlights happening around here.

The bird and I are officially home owners again and permanent residents of Austin. So happy to call this beauty home! Now that closing is almost complete, I thought it was safe to share the news. So excited to make some minor changes, move in our furniture and make it our home.

We just booked flights and an Airbnb in Palm Springs for my birthday next month! It's been so long since I've been and I would love any of your suggestions, especially restaurants for a fun night out!

Valentine's Day weekend

I hope you had a nice, long Valentine's Day weekend!

The bird and I were pretty mellow, but went on a beautiful hike along the Barton Springs greenbelt.

I picked out all the pink attire pieces I could find and the bird got in the spirit too!

I also managed to whip up some Valentine's dessert, like I mentioned on Friday.

These dipped Oreos were delicious and the perfect treat after our hike.

Trip to Madrid: Hotel

I have been looking forward to recapping my Christmas and New Years trip to Spain and Portugal. It was an amazing trip that took us to Madrid, Porto and Lisbon.

Taken in Plaza Mayor, a festive square that was full of Christmas markets.

While the majority of our pictures were taken in Portugal, I wanted to share where we stayed in Madrid, Spain: Melia Fenix.

We spent 3 nights here, including Christmas Eve and Christmas. It was a gorgeous hotel, with all the amenities and had a prime location.
