We are so lucky to have my parents coming to Austin to celebrate Thanksgiving with us!

Since we're in corporate housing, we opted to go out this year. We'll be dining at The Driskill and if you're ever in town, definitely put this place on your list. It's delicious for breakfast and after work drinks too!

Calligraphy Class

Last week I took my first calligraphy class here in Austin. Lauren, from Blue Eye Brown Eye, is a doll and so talented!

We learned how to hold the pointed pen, as well as practiced the basic strokes, letter forms and connections. She also gave us a ton of information on what and where to buy materials, paper and ink.

Happy November! I hope you had a good Halloween weekend and enjoyed the bonus hour yesterday.

Fall List

I am officially surrendering to fall and embracing all the plaid, cozy sweaters and Halloween candy.

I could never get on board with the pumpkin hype and lattes. Instead, I embrace fall with dark polishes, plaid button downs and my favorite rain boots.

A major storm came through Austin last weekend, thanks to Hurricane Patricia. It was nearly 48 hours of non-stop rain. As much as I love the rain, we had a weekend indoors watching movies and binge watch The Leftovers. (So good!)
