I miss this fabulous place

I have missed you. This blog. My followers. And blogger friends. It's been wayyy too long!

Getting back into the swing of things after moving back from Dublin, Ireland has been a serious transition. Moving back into our home, finding a job or two and getting back into a schedule and everyday routine. But it is all starting to fall into place.
I hate that I have neglected this fabulous space I love so much. I miss creating posts and reading yours.

And today is my blog anniversary of 4 years and I couldn't not touch base. It's also officially spring and my birthday month!
So, cheers!

I don't know where this little blog will go, but I'm not ready to call it quits. I love it too much.

Until I get it all figured out, I am currently a stylist at Stitch Fix. If you are a client, I would love to be your stylist if you want to request me (Jessica Pigeon)! :)

Gifts for Mother's Day

I am back from my wonderful trip to Paris with my mom. It was an amazing mother/daughter vacation and even though it wasn't planned, it was also such a nice way to celebrate an early Mother's Day!

I put together a board with some last minute goodies that would also be perfect for Mother's Day:

I love the idea of putting small gifts into this cork pouch or mug. That way the wrapping is part of the present and you can easily top it off with a pretty ribbon. I also found this monogram mug diy if you're extra ambitious.

Everything on the board is also under $40... happy mom and wallet! :)

I am gathering up pics to put a Paris post together soon! Thank you again to Ally of Life as I know it and Jillian of Cornflake Dreams for filling my blog with pretty posts while I was away!

Yay for birthdays!

Today is my birthday!!! WooHoo!

I am aware my birthday is also shared by St. Patrick. But since we managed to escape Dublin this year, I am celebrating this day all by myself.

We are currently leaving Positano and headed to Capri and loving every minute of this gorgeous vacation. Looking forward to posting a recap when we return! In the meantime, follow along on Instagram (@birdietobe).

Fun night in for Valentine's Day

It's beginning to look a lot like Valentine's Day over here.

Since the bird and I are staying in this year, I picked up some fun goodies for us to celebrate with at home.
Chocolates for the bird + sour hearts for me // White 'Me & You' pencil set
Valentine's Day crackers & gift tags // Heart marshmallows for vday s'mores

Looking forward to making a delicious homemade dinner, followed by enjoying some of these sweets for dessert. We also have a couples massage to look forward to Saturday morning at The Marker Hotel spa.

Happy New Year!

I wanted to have the second 2013 recap up today. Whoops! I am working on it for Friday.

In the meantime, the bird and I are headed back to Dublin today. It's been such an amazing visit home, which makes it very hard to leave!

Holiday Party decor

I so meant to post a recap of Copenhagen this week... and I completely failed. It was a wonderful city and great mini trip! I will definitely get some pictures up next week.

Today I am putting together a little post for holiday party decor. Christmas time is without a doubt my favorite time of year. The festive feel in the air gets me everytime. And what better way to kick off the festivities than a holiday party!

I have never done Christmas crackers... and in Dublin they are everywhere! I think I want to bring some home this year for the family and I to pop open on Christmas morning. I also love the idea of using them as favors at a holiday party! And how gorgeous are these invites!?

I hope you have a fabulous weekend full of holiday party goodness!

Sparkling NYE

Big news... We just found out we are off to Ireland pre-NYE!
The bird & I are headed to Dublin, Ireland for about a year, and we will be leaving in less than a week! We are so excited for our adventure there and what better way to kick it off that NYE!

Do you have any suggestions for us... NYE or otherwise?

Here are a couple lovely numbers for our NYE:
one :: two

I think long sleeve is probably best... since the weather lately has been in the 30s at night.

We would love to hear if any of my readers have been to or live in Ireland!

Happy Friday!

Home for Christmas!

As you may have read a couple weeks back, the bird and I will be off to Ireland soon! So very exciting!

We have been in limbo mode, waiting on our visas/permits, not knowing when we were going to go. But we found out just yesterday, that we will still be home for Christmas. FABULOUS news!

So I immediately broke out our Christmas decor boxes and put up a tree!

Now it feels like Christmas!

And our tree!

And our favorite new ornament, from Lovely Little Details! (by Paloma's Nest)

We're going with the minimalist approach this year, as we have to be out of our house the day after Christmas!

We got renters for our year in Ireland and they're-a-moving-in quick!
