Best of the D'Orsay Flat

The d'orsay flats are obviously the next big thing. They are everywhere and they are definitely growing on me.
Here are a few fabulous picks I would love to see in my closet this spring/summer:
one // two // three // four // five

I loved the two-toned or multi-textured look. I don't own a pair yet though... are they as comfy as they are cute?

On another, and oh-so-exciting note, 2 weeks from today the bird and I are headed to the Amalfi Coast for my birthday! We are staying in Sorrento for one night and 2 nights in both Positano and Capri. If you have any tips or recommendations... please send them my way!

Happy Friday!

Dreaming of spring

Today, I am dreaming of spring. I'm feeling much better finally! And the sun is shining. Perfect day for a bright spring board.
Blush pink is so spring to me. Here are some lovely things on my wishlist this spring:
stone stud earrings // silk camisole // fujifilm instax camera // statement necklace
illuminating blush palette // lip slip // chloƩ rollerball perfume // leather clutch // oversized sunglasses

I am loving this camera! How fun to take instant pics on vacation! And I received this perfume for Christmas and love it!

Weekend Recap

Today I am recovering from an awful bug I caught this weekend! No fun at all. But I'm on the mend... I think.

I don't have much to share today, but here are a few pictures from the weekend and last week.

On Friday, I met up with a few bloggers here in Dublin. I brought some homemade cookie sandwiches to share.
I used this cookie and this buttercream frosting recipe.
They were soooo good!

The gorgeous flower marts on Grafton Street on a rare sunny day in February.

We also made this delicious quinoa chowder on Friday.
We chose to add fresh salmon to it... I definitely recommend this recipe!

So glad I got to enjoy this before my appetite took a nose dive on Saturday.

Hope you had a more exciting weekend than I did. :)

Signature Look

This look is absolutely me. Minus the faux leather jacket which I seriously have my eye on.
Tan Leather jacket (brown here) // Crocodile tee // Paisley scarf
Leggings // Shopper Tote // Pendant Necklace // Ankle Booties

My birthday is next month and I am debating between the tan and black jacket. I wear leggings often... do you think the tan or black would look better?

Hope you have some fun weekend plans! Happy Friday!

Bar Cart Accessories

I found this fabulous graphic on Pinterest and was inspired all over again by pretty bar carts.
It isn't very practical to start collecting goodies while we are living in Ireland, but a girl can dream, right? And save her ideas for when she moves home. :) Here are some lovely accessories I found:
champagne flutes // cocktail shaker // candlesticks // bottle opener
cocktail strainer // stir sticks // wine decanter // cocktail jigger

This post makes me look forward to working on projects like these and putting our house back together when we move home.

Weekend Recapping

Hello Monday! It's a dreary little Monday over here... which makes me miss the weekend even more.

And such a good Valentine's Day weekend it was.
When I came home from yoga Friday morning, I had brunch, flowers, bubbles and a fire waiting for me.
Then we exchanged gifts and opened the Valentine's Day crackers I picked up.
(They were filled with confetti, cootie catchers and charms.)

After spending a relaxing day together, we opted for a cheese & fruit board for dinner and s'mores for dessert.

On Saturday morning, we had couple massages at The Marker Hotel and brunch. It really was a perfect weekend.

How did you spend yours?

Happy Valentine's Day!

 Happy Valentine's Day!

I know some people find the idea of celebrating Valentine's Day a bit cheesy and commercialized, thanks to Hallmark. I totally get it. But I'm on the other side of this one... and love the excuse to celebrate with the bird.

Here are five lovely links to kick off the holiday weekend:

// one // Here's a list of diy gifts to get your main squeeze this Valentine's Day.

// two // Take this fun quiz to find out which Girl Scout cookie you are.

// three // I finally got sucked in The Bachelor... does anyone else think Sharleen is super manipulative? Here's a great blog recap to read after each episode. Hilarious!

// four // A delicious Lofthouse Style sugar cookie recipe. These are one of my favorites!

// five // Here is a easy heart pillow diy, perfect craft for this weekend.

Have a lovely Valentine's Day weekend! Xo

Fun night in for Valentine's Day

It's beginning to look a lot like Valentine's Day over here.

Since the bird and I are staying in this year, I picked up some fun goodies for us to celebrate with at home.
Chocolates for the bird + sour hearts for me // White 'Me & You' pencil set
Valentine's Day crackers & gift tags // Heart marshmallows for vday s'mores

Looking forward to making a delicious homemade dinner, followed by enjoying some of these sweets for dessert. We also have a couples massage to look forward to Saturday morning at The Marker Hotel spa.

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Here is a look into what our weekend looked like:
 Dublin in Rainbows + Sunsets
We went to the International Craft Beer Fest on Friday with a group of friends.
Forest Avenue which has been rated one of the best new restaurants in Dublin. I concur.
Oh... and did I mention I was taking French. So hard. I've resorted back to flashcards.
And my French so far is about as jumbled as those cards. Eek!

Today I am spending the day taking my cousin around Dublin! She is in town for work and I couldn't be more excited to see her! Makes for a great start to the week.

Cozy Valentine's Day morning

One week til Valentine's Day! The bird and I are trying to make plans for next week, but we may end up with a homemade dinner, cozy fire and cheesy movie night in... which really doesn't sound so bad.

Here's some cozy outfit inspiration for celebrating Valentine's Day in.
(and Valentine's Day heart candies, of course!)

I have been seeing drawstring pants everywhere lately! Here's a pair from Vince for a splurge option and I love these ones from Old Navy. And here's a fun recipe for homemade Valentine's Day heart candies.

Yay for Friday! Looking forward to a blogger dinner, a craft beer & food festival and family coming into town this weekend!

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Pink Valentines

It's officially February and Valentine's Day is already around the corner!

I love a month filled with pink, sparkles and lots of love in the air!
one // two // three // four // five // six // seven

Here are some fun pieces to kick off the festivities or to put on your Valentine's Day wishlist!

This clutch, which is super affordable, is perfect for sporting out on vday, along with this pretty pink lip.

Let the festivities begin! Xo

Weekend Recap

Hope you had a great weekend.

Mine did not consist of watching the Superbowl this year, since it started at about midnight. (But I was able to catch a recap of the commercials.) To be honest, football is so not my sport. Talk to me again when it's baseball season. #gogiants

Instead we spent our weekend watching two fantastic movies... my husband has officially turned me into a movie person!

Both of these movies were amazing! Tom Hanks can do no wrong. He was fantastic in this movie. And 12 Years a Slave... so hard to watch, but one of the best movies I have seen in awhile. No wonder it won Best Picture this year at the Golden Globes. And watching these makes me even more excited for the Oscars this year.

I also made these delicious brownies:
Healthified Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies

Their website is filled with deliciously easy recipes and much better pictures!

I would love to say we have some leftover... but they were too good. Make these immediately!
